Build an Analytical Paragraph

An analytical paragraph does not retell the passage. It advances a claim, supplies precise evidence, and explains how the evidence proves the claim.

Write a debatable claim. Introduce and cite evidence. Explain the key word or action. Conclude by returning to the claim.

Study the model

Claim → evidence → reasoning → concluding insight
